Evolution of active companies between 2019 and 2022 by size
MSMEs accounted for 99.4% of active companies in the first six months of the year; micro and small companies accounted for 98.1%.

Analysis
At the end of December 2022, the total number of active micro-enterprises in Bogota and in the 59 municipalities of the jurisdiction increased by 6.8%, from 437,324 between January - December 2021 to 467,263 in the same period of 2022. On the other hand, small companies decreased -1.5% and went from 22,643 to 22,301 companies. During the same period, there was also a 0.3% decrease in the number of medium-sized companies and a 0.9% reduction in the number of large companies.
Description
Decree 957 of 2019 of the National Government establishes a new classification of the size of companies based on the criterion of income from ordinary activities and according to the classification into three macro economic sectors: manufacturing, services and trade.
